These days, the use of Chinese characters has decreased a lot.
Many Chinese characters are still used in Korean.
The proportion of Chinese characters in Hangul is a whopping 57.3%!!
In addition, many East Asian languages surrounding Korea, China, and Japanese still use Chinese characters.
But in other words, if you know Chinese characters, you can easily learn Chinese and Japanese!
Easily search for Chinese characters and study them with Naver’s Chinese character input device!
How to use Naver Chinese character input device
1. Click “Dictionary” on the Naver main screen
2. Click one of the “Full Search”, “Chinese”, “Japanese”, or “Chinese” buttons.
In the language dictionary window below displayed in Naver Dictionary, select one of “Full Search”, “Chinese Characters”, “Japanese”, or “Chinese”.
“Handwriting Recognition” will appear to the right of the search bar below.
3. Click the “Handwriting Recognizer” button!
When you press the “Handwriting Recognizer” button, the following window will appear.
Draw the Chinese character you are looking for in the box below.
Just draw with the mouse. 🖍
4. Example of writing Chinese characters
As an example, I wrote the characters for moon (月) and iron (鐵).
If you try to write Chinese characters with a mouse, it won’t work because it’s awkward, but if you write it wrong, you can easily erase it with the “Erase 1 stroke” and “Erase all” buttons below.
Moreover, because it shows 16 similar Chinese characters at the same time,
Even if it’s a little bit wrong, you’ll probably get the Chinese character you want one by one.
How to use Naver App’s Chinese character input device (smartphone)
1. Enter Naver App’s “Dictionary”
Go to “Dictionary” in the Naver app and click on the Chinese, Chinese, and Japanese symbols below.
2. Chinese character handwriting recognition device
If you press the Chinese character, Chinese, or Japanese handwriting recognizer button above,
The handwriting recognizer will appear as shown below.
Unfortunately, only 6 Chinese characters appear.
Because you can write by hand, it’s easier to write than with a mouse!
Tip: How to open Naver Dictionary
I left the dictionary out of Naver’s main screen because it’s a feature I use a lot!
I’m adding it for those who can’t find the Naver dictionary.
On the Naver main screen, click the three characters in the lower left corner.
Then, slide the icon on the screen that appears to the left.
Then the +Add button will appear.
After pressing the +Add button
If you swipe the screen to the left, click on the “Education Culture” section at the top.
Then “Dictionary” will appear below.
