When using a bidet, the filter must be replaced, but the cycle is usually about 3 to 6 months. In my case, I replace it every 6 months. If you don’t use it because you rent it, you can replace the filter yourself as it is easy to change. I will explain how to replace the filter based on the bidet I use, Aizen’s IB-8900.

The Internet price is about 17,000 won for 5 pieces including shipping.
With a replacement cycle of six months, you can use it for two and a half years.
First, close the water supply valve under the toilet as shown below.
Then, loosen the water supply hose connected to the filter as shown below.
Remove the old filter as shown below.
The disassembly is then completed as follows.
If you look at the new filter to be replaced, there is a part with a rubber packing as shown below.
As you know, this part is connected to the water supply faucet.
The picture below is a picture when the rubber packing is missing.
One side of the rubber packing protrudes, and this part must be assembled facing the inside of the filter.
After checking the direction of the rubber packing, connect it to the water supply as shown below.
Do not connect the water supply hose to the bidet yet, and release the water supply valve appropriately to allow water to flow.
When you run the water, black water comes out at first, but don’t worry, it’s sediment in the new filter.
This is the procedure for cleaning a new filter.
Let the water flow for about 1 minute until clean water comes out.
When the filter cleaning is finished, close the water supply valve.
Next, close the water supply hose connected to the bidet as shown below to complete the replacement.
